The National Hook up of Black Women (NHBW) Queen City Chapter is a newly formed chapter, founded and established by Patricia Lee, in May of 2010.  We became a Charter Member of NHBW in July of 2010. Our founding members include: Ms. Patricia Lee, Ms. Patricia Brown, and Ms. Loretha Brunson, Ms. Diane Brinkley, Ms. Ann Cooley, Ms. Cynthia Lox, Ms. Monique Lee, Ms. Bridgetta Young, Ms. Elizabeth Dean, Ms. Heather Lee, and Ms. Alycia Ali.

Our members are a diversified group of women devoted to sharing their time and talents, because we recognize how the impact of our work would help change the lives of many who are underserved in the Queen City and surrounding areas.

In August of 2010, we partnered with “My Sister’s House Transitional Living” where we provide Motivation, Support, and life teaching skills to women ages 18yrs and up.  We also established and implemented an after school reading program in May of 2011, for 5th grade students at Northridge Middle School.

The endeavors of our chapter is to provide hands on community support, focusing on Domestic violence and Literacy in our community, and partnering with organizations that have the same agenda.
