Chapter History - Greater Metro Capital Area

The Greater Metropolitan Capital Area Chapter (GMCAC) was founded in 2001 by past president Ms. Bertha Thomas.  It has hosted seminars, retreats, fundraisers and various charitable endeavors over the years.  Its outreach includes the Iona Whipper Home, the Central Union Mission, The Fairview Halfway Home for Women and more.

The GMCAC take part in activities in and around the Nation’s capital that share our drive to improve the community.  This chapter has included several NHBW national officers as well as past officers of prominent community-based organizations.  The GMCAC has members from the DMV, covering Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia.
